 About our host and guide

YEHUDA HECHT - Although a Jew, Yehuda majored in New Testament studies at the Hebrew University, and minored in the Crusades. His family has lived in Jerusalem since the Twelfth Century AD. He has fought in three wars, and is considered a war hero in Israel. His unique Jewish perspective, deep knowledge of the language and land, and experiences relating to his native Jerusalem all bring a unique perspective to our tour. His firsthand knowledge of the conflicts between Israel and her Arab neighbors has given every tour an insightful “behind the curtain” view of the Middle East.

Tour Comments

“Thank you for everything that you guys did. It was the best trip of my life and thank you for you (as one of the shop keepers in Israel said to me after buying something). I am trying to put all of my pictures together and understand it all since I felt like my head blew up with info overload. As I read the Bible it opens my eyes and mind to new things- thank you.”

— Monica W.

“Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for putting together such a wonderful trip. It always amazes us how God works in our lives and if he had not put it in your heart to put this together none of us would have had this wonderful opportunity. We may never have gone if you had not put this trip together, and so for that, we are thankful. This trip has truly brought the bible to life for us and given us a whole new perspective on Israel and its people. What a great trip and lasting memory - even though we were overwhelmed with all the history we just can't stop thinking and talking about it. It has been a wonderful blessing. Thank you”

— Tami K.

I again want to thank you for everything that you did for all of us during our trip. It was a beautifully coordinated effort that went off smoothly. You were all there for all of us continuously and you never seemed frazzled and stressed out with all of our demands. Thank you so much for that. The trip was amazing and I will treasure the memories of it forever! Thank you”

— Romona D.

“Thanks again for a wonderful trip - we thoroughly enjoyed it & can’t wait to put the pieces together from your book, our notes, our pictures & the Bible.”

— Paul P.

Bob and I had such a great time. It was a fantastic trip. We wanted to thank you again for all the hard work that you put into this trip to make it such a success.

— Shirley J.

"From the beginning I was not nervous or apprehensive to go to Israel, then when we arrived in Israel I continued to feel safe throughout our time there.?? Even though we saw armed military at check points, I never felt more safe.

We had a wonderful guide and bus driver who were at all times concerned with our well being and enjoyment of the tour. Our Guide had so much knowledge and personal stories of his time in the Israel army and his life in Israel that it made the tour feel more personal.

As far as the food, we had a wonderful buffet for Breakfast and dinner that featured a Mediterranean diet. We has lots of fish, chicken, vegetables, hummus, and the famous falafel. Everything I tried was delicious and I do suggest being brave a trying the Israel cuisine to get the full effect of being in Israel.

I would suggest that prior to going on the tour that each participant begin a walking program and get used to climbing stairs and hills.?? Jerusalem especially is very hilly and requires a lot of climbing stairs and walking. Even though we did a lot of walking and stair climbing everyday it was well worth all the physical effort to see, stand on and "feel" the places that Jesus was while here on the earth.

I would highly recommend this tour of Israel as it will make your bible reading and studying so much more alive. and have a greater impact on your life.?? Now when I read my bible, I think, I was there and I saw that place and stood on that mountain etc. I can actually see the place I visited when I am reading. It was an amazing amazing time and I am so glad I made the trip.

— Linda D.

“Thank you for the tremendous amount of work you put into the planning of our trip. Everything went so smoothly and was wonderful on so many levels.”

— Jeff L.

“Thank you guys for an AMAZING experience. There is no way we could have done Israel better on our own. The time you guys spent pulling this together must have been exhausting, but so much appreciated by us – who got to enjoy the fruits of your efforts. Yehuda is my new hero! I don’t know how other Israeli guides go about their job, but this man clearly loves what he does and clearly loves his country. You already know my love for Israel. It just increased infinitely after spending time with Yehuda. As good as Yehuda is, you were still the keystone of our trip. Outside of getting baptized in the Jordan (thank you Al), my two favorite parts were…
• Your reading and prayer in Capernaum after Yehuda gave us the visual of how Jesus raised Jarius’ daughter (the missing parts). How great is our God. Your words and our location just filled me. As small as it sounds to say, I felt His presence.
• Your reading and prayer in the cistern Jesus was held in. My heart hurt. It hit me more than ever that he was “just” a man. The fear and anxiety He must have felt. All for us – the ultimate sacrifice. Your words were reverent, appropriate, and solemn.
Thank you again for an amazing experience.

— Bryan H.

I am truly overwhelmed by the experience that Cher and I had during this trip. Thank you so much for making this happen for us. Last year Cher and I attended a one night showing of th movie “In Our Hands" about the six day war. I’m going to watch it again now that I have been schooled by Yehuda. Again we cannot say it enough how thankful and blessed we are to have been a part of this trip.

— Tim U.
